Walk of Life (“Walk of Life”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Walk of Life mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, describing your rights under GDPR and other applicable laws.

To use the App, you must create an account. We collect: Name, Username, Email address, and Profile picture.

1.2 Activity and Health-Related Data

We collect activity data related to walking: Steps, Distance, Duration (time), and Precise GPS location data. This data is associated with your account and is not anonymized. By using the tracking features of the App, you provide your explicit consent for us to process your activity and location data for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw this consent at any time by changing your device settings or deleting your account.

1.3 Location Data

• The App uses precise GPS location data.
• Location is collected only while the App is actively used.
• Core features, such as real-time route tracking, require location access to function.
• Routes are stored historically to provide functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to operate core features, track routes, personalize experience, analyze usage, enable login/authentication, process payments, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Tracking, Analytics, and Marketing

We use tracking for analytics and marketing attribution to improve functionality. Tracking is not used to display third-party ads within the App.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (hosting/analytics), Google/Apple Maps, Sign in with Apple/Google, and App Store/Play Store payment systems. These providers process data according to their own policies.

5. Data Storage and Transfers

Data is stored using Firebase (servers in EU and/or USA). We use Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

6. Data Retention

We retain data as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, your data will be deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

Walk of Life is a walking and exploration app tracking activity, routes, and progress. It is intended for general audiences, including families.

2. Eligibility and Responsibility

Minor users must have parental consent. Guardians are responsible for the child's use and data processing.

Payments are handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play. Walk of Life does not process payments directly. Canceled subscriptions must be managed via your app store account.

The App is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Walk of Life is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
